“Where Do We Go From Here” is a resort collection that reflects on the transitioning of life out of darkness. As it mirrors the effect of the recent pandemic, Matt Bruening wanted to portray the unknown, uncomfortability, and confusion represented by a dark, all black color palette. Out of darkness comes light, and with that we see light peek through, celebrating hope with a vibrant color change and moving forward into a bright and positive future with fun textures, and print mixing. Versatility always plays a big part of Bruening’s brand DNA, therefore the styles and silhouettes are meant to be as adaptive and transitional with other pieces in the collection that also portray how we need to be as humans moving forward, as we ask ourselves “where we do we go from here?”
